Chief Lending Officer – Fulltime, Exempt Washington, DC 20011

 The Chief Lending Officer /Residential & Consumer manages the Commercial Loan Office and Commercial Real Estate Department and assures that staff receives appropriate training and direction to be effective in their work. This position is responsible and reports to the Chief Operating Officer in the management of the consumer and residential loan departments, including loan production, credit quality and compliance. The position serves as the primary contact for the lending division, including communications with Executive management and other departments.

 The Chief Lending Officer/ Residential & Consumer develops new commercial loan business by maintaining contact with current and potential customers and by following-up on leads provided by other bank officers and staff. The incumbent also oversees the credit quality of the commercial and commercial real estate loan portfolios through following the Bank’s credit policy and approval process. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining delinquencies and loan exceptions within acceptable levels. The incumbent also acts as a loan officer for the more important or more difficult accounts, receives plus processes applications for loans to finance the growth and operations of business enterprises, prepares financial analysis of the businesses, approves or obtains approval to make loans, and closes the loan to protect the assets of the Bank. The incumbent reviews loan documents and maintains a relationship with borrowers to be aware of changes to business conditions and to respond quickly if loan payments become delinquent. The incumbent manages the commercial and commercial real estate budget with emphasis on net asset growth and expense control.

The incumbent shares responsibility with other Bank officers for compliance with federal and local bank regulations and with Industrial Bank policies and procedures. Also, must comply with meeting compliance and audit requirements.

 The primary responsibilities and qualifications for the position include, but are not limited to:

  •  A bachelor Degree in business administration, accounting, marketing, or a related discipline.
  •  10- 14 years of Commercial loan and banking experience with complex accounts
  •  Knowledge of federal bank regulations.
  •  Knowledge of marketing and relationship management practices.
  •  Knowledge of financial and credit risk analysis.
  •  Knowledge of computer software programs used to evaluate financial information and to maintain loan information.
  •  Ability to define, communicate, and monitor compliance with underwriting standards.
  •  Ability to explain technical information to professional and administrative staff
  •  Ability to interact successfully with other executives and with senior officers of the Bank.
 

Mortgage Loan Originator – Fulltime, Exempt (Commission) Oxon Hill, MD 20745

 The Mortgage Loan Originator is responsible for developing new residential mortgage business, qualifying borrowers, and assisting clients from the loans origination through the closing of the loan.

 Primary responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and fostering partnership with in industry through builder, developers, real estate brokers, and other resources.
  • Analyzing personal and financial information for potential clients.
  • Proving guidance to prospective applicants who have difficulty qualifying for traditional loans

 This position requires two (2) years minimum experience in mortgage sales. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills; the ability to meet customer expectations; knowledge of Federal Bank Regulations; demonstrated financial analysis and credit risk rating knowledge; and working knowledge of computer software programs used to evaluate loan information.

 Portfolio Manager Commercial Lending – Fulltime, Exempt (2 vacancies) Washington, DC 20011

 The Portfolio Manager manages the receipt and processing of commercial loan applications, underwriting of credits, manages the entire commercial/commercial real estate loan portfolio, manages the construction loan portfolio and all relative administrative functions, manages the commercial closing process, and works directly with the Commercial Loan Assistant and Portfolio Administrator who will provide assistance in performing assigned duties, and other duties as assigned.

 The incumbent shares responsibility with other Bank officers for compliance with federal and local bank regulations and with Industrial Bank policies and procedures. Incumbent will also be responsible for responding to audits.

  • Formal education in business administration, accounting, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years’ experience as a commercial loan officer with important accounts.
  • Knowledge of federal bank regulations.
  • Knowledge of marketing and relationship management practices.
  • Knowledge of financial and credit risk analysis.
  • Knowledge of computer software programs used to evaluate financial information and to maintain loan information.
  • Ability to define, communicate, and monitor compliance with underwriting standards.
  • Ability to explain technical information to professional and administrative staff
  • Ability to interact successfully with outside business executives and with senior officers of the Bank.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  •  Ability to demonstrate being a self-starter, well-organized, detail-oriented
  •  Ability to work well independently and in a fast paced environment
  •  Proficiency with Industrial Bank operating systems inclusive of Navigator and other Commercial applications (i.e. Moody’s Lending Cloud, Director, LaserPro). Proficiency with other comparable/equivalent bank operating systems may be considered.

 Vice President/Commercial Loan officer/Small Business Administration Washington, DC 20011

The Commercial Loan Officer/Small Business Administration position’s primary responsibility is split between CRE, C&I Lending and SBA loans with a focus on originating new loans in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. This includes objectives related to loan production, portfolio growth, fee income, profitability, credit quality, loan delinquencies, and member services.

 The Lender generates C&I loans by establishing and maintaining contact with current and potential customers, and by following-up on leads provided by other bank officers and staff. An established book of business is preferred, but not required.

 The Lender receives and processes applications for loans to finance owner occupied commercial property, to include construction, renovation, or acquisition, as well as general credit/working capital facilities for operating companies/businesses. Prepares an analysis of the financial condition and credit history of the organization that seeks financing; obtains approval to make the loan; and executes the loan.

 The Vice President Commercial Loan Officer/Small Business Administration regularly reviews the loan portfolio to identify potential repayment problems, noting projects with cash flow issues, vacant units, and other signs of difficulty in order to respond quickly if loan payments become delinquent. The incumbent shares responsibility with other Bank officers for compliance with Federal and local bank regulations and with Industrial Bank policies and procedures, including compliance with meeting internal/external audit requirements.

  • Formal education in business administration, accounting, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience as a Small Business Administration Lender with both residential and commercial accounts.
  • Knowledge of federal bank regulations.
  • Knowledge of marketing and relationship management practices.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and credit risk ratings.
  • Knowledge of computer software programs used to evaluate loan information.
  • Ability to define, communicates, and monitors compliance with underwriting standards.
  • Ability to interact successfully with other executives and with senior officers of the Bank.

Floating Retail Banking Associate - Fulltime, Exempt                                       Oxon Hill, MD 20945

The Floating Retail Banking Associate (FRBA) serves as the back-up Associate for all banking centers depending upon needs.  As the FRBA, the incumbent will float from the teller line to the platform, as needed, at any given time, with or without notice. Therefore, the FRBA is expected to provide branch support throughout the various banking centers on an as needed basis, as assigned. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, teller operations, product sales, general administrative tasks, and exceeding both internal and external customer service expectations. This position also requires a high level of dependability, accountability, and flexibility. Must comply with meeting compliance and audit requirements.
