Frequently Asked Questions
What's an E-bill?
The "e" means "electronic", so an E-bill
is an electronic version of the paper bills you receive in
the mail. E-bill is quick, easy, and free with Online Bill
Pay!
How is an E-bill different from receiving a paper bill?
You receive E-bills through Online Banking instead of your
mailbox. You see the same information you're used to seeing
- balances, transactions, finance charges and other statement
items, just in electronic format. You can even save or print
out a copy for your files.
Will I pay more for E-bills?
No, E-bill is free with Online SMART Pay.
Why are E-bills helpful?
- Review your bills online
- Review account history and detail online
- Make or schedule payments
- Download and save your bills electronically
- Reduce paperwork
How is it better than paper bills?
Since E-bills are online, everything is easy to find, you
don't have to worry about losing those paper bills, and you
can make payments with just a few clicks. Schedule payments
whenever you want and receive an e-mail reminder when it's
time to pay. Plus, you have an automatic history of every
bill you pay.
Will I continue to receive my bills through the mail?
This depends on the payee. Some payees will stop sending bills
through the mail and others will continue. Through E-bill
you have an electronic version of the bill and can also print
a paper copy if you like.
How long will I have access to my bill detail?
Your payee determines how long the bill detail will be available
online. Generally the length is 4 weeks to 6 months.
Who should I call if I have questions about my bill?

just like you would with a paper bill. For questions about
a payment through Online Bill Pay - contact Client Support
